Membership of the Wellington People's Centre gives you access to low
cost, high quality health and well being services. These are:
- Medical Services: Doctor and nurse. No charge for
children under 6. Doctor visits cost $10 per consultation if you
are enrolled with
SECPHO
and a current WPC member as a medical patient. There are some
charges on nurse visits depending on procedure.
- Quality Dental Care: $45 for a check-up(including X-rays) for members. Treatment
prices vary according to specific procedures. Prices on application
and some costs are covered by Work & Income, if eligible. Our service is
a low cost quality dental practice. Non members may use the service at an increased cost.
- Massage Service: $30 for an hour massage. Available Monday, and every second Thursday. Enquire at reception for practitioner's specialities
- Facial, Hand and Foot care: Every second Monday. Charge is
$25 for a 30 minute session. Treatments available include:
Manicures, pedicures, hand massage, foot massage, facial waxing and
eyebrow tinting.
- Counselling Service: Contact reception and they will pass
your details on to the Counselling Service Coordinator. The cost is
$5 per session for members. Non-members may access this service at
$35 per session.
- Social English Class: Monday and Friday afternoons 1:0pm
- 3:00pm. Also available to non-members. Koha (donation) for the
Friday Group please
Membership costs $10 every four weeks. There are three membership options
- Pay $10 for the first four weeks and fill in an automatic payment form.
Weekly payments are $2.50, fortnightly $5.00, or $10 every four-weeks.
- $60 for six months membership
- $120 for twelve months membership
Dependents are included in your membership. This includes children
under 16 and other family members who depend on you for support.
The following services are available to all who need them - you don't need to be a member to use them:
Benefit Rights Service: Advocates will check your benefit details and
advise whether you are getting the correct entitlement.
Available Mondays 12:30pm-3:30pm and from Tuesday to Friday 9:30am - 3:30pm
Workers Rights Service: For anyone having problems at work.
Advocates are available Monday to Wednesday 5:30 to 7:00 pm
