The Wellington People’s Centre has offered a Massage Service for most of the fifteen years it has been in operation. Useful for relaxation but also assisting with relief of pain due to injuries, occupational overuse syndrome, and stress.

We aim to keep the cost as low as possible to make sure the service is accessible to all. Massage costs just $30 for members of the Wellington People’s Centre and $45 for non-members. Sessions are 1 hour in length

Massage treatments available incorporate the following modalities where appropriate:

• Swedish (or European style table) Massage
• Reiki - A subtle "energy based", gentle, healing technique
• Reflexology - Stimulating points on the feet (hands, or ears) that correspond to different points on the body
• Holistic Pulsing - A gentle rhythmic rocking technique used to free up "blockages" in the body
• Lymphatic Drainage - A similar technique to Pulsing only "pumping" the lymph system throughout the body to also free up blockages

All of these techniques applied either individually or incorporated can assist in the release of unwanted toxins causing pain and preventing effective relaxation and the release of blockages on all levels within our being that prevent our systems from flowing and functioning at their best. They also promote well-being - outwardly and inwardly and are designed to complement main stream medicine.

Ali Aligul - is available every Monday. Ali specializes in Relaxation Massage which may include Deep Tissue Massage, and Sports Massage techniques.

Our Reflexologist is:

Darleen - she is available every Wednesday. Darleen holds a Diploma in Reflexology - foot, hand and ear.
