The Wellington People's Centre offers counselling aimed at helping you move towards a more satisfying life. It can help you face your situation - and often get beyond it.
Counselling can help us work out what we cannot control and how to live with that. And it can help us work out how to take charge of the things that can be changed
Counselling involves confidential discussion with someone who has training and experience. A counsellor will not make your decisions, but can help clarify issues so it is easier to make decisions for yourself
The coordinator of our counselling service can talk to you about which member of our volunteer team is best for you.
Couselling can help with:
Anger Issues
Relationship & family difficulties
Grief (related to death or other losses)
Sexuality concerns
Work problems
Vocational guidance & career issues
Feelings of depression
Sense of being lost
Parenting matters
Violence
Dispute mediation
Communication issues
Loss of confidence
Stress
Counselling is available to members of the Wellington People's Centre for just $5 per session. It is also available for non-members for $35 per session
